Who we are

Our website address is: https://gatewaylocation.org.

My name is Philip Wade and the custodian of this site.

The aim of this site and all my sharing is help you Realise your own highest spiritual truth. It is a compelling compassion for all of life that serves this process.

To assist in this process my aim is only to have the minimum data necessary to share updates, events, videos and insights with you. This typically is an email address and for an event a contact number is also useful and if a payment is made by the website then its a legal requirement that an address is collected.

You are at liberty to unsubscribe at any time and have your data deleted. I have zero interest in using the data for anything other than sharing material that serves your highest truth.

It is important to know however that the majority of this Policy is Standard to WordPress Websites and, by virtue of the way websites work, there are other elements of data that get picked up and used by these providers that is set out below. WordPress are a website template provider and millions of sites around the world use this tool. The site specific elements of all this are noted in sections: Who we share your data with, Where we send your data, Your contact information, How we protect your data,  What data breach procedures we have in place, What third parties we receive data from, What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data and Industry regulatory disclosure requirements.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Additional information

How we protect your data

This site is hosted by Siteground who are a GDPR with a WordPress Theme and both are Compliant. The site is only accessed by its owner and professional developers supporting the site expansion. They are required to use secure login details password protected and and it also uses the Google ReCaptcha tool for extra login safety.

If you sign up to the newsletter on the Home Page or Book an event your registration details are captured in a tool called Mailchimp. From the Home Page this requires a double Opt In Process to make sure you really wanted to do this – this means you are sent a confirmation email with a link to click to confirm your choice. If you are booking an event you will naturally be added to the event mailing list so you can receive information about the event and any others of interest. You are able to unsubscribe at any time.

What data breach procedures we have in place

Your data is not shared with anyone other than those authorised noted above. In the unlikely event of a data breach, passwords will be changed and the matter investigated and you will be informed. You are always at liberty to unsubscribe, request your data to be deleted or ask for a copy of what information is held.

What third parties we receive data from

Your data is not shared with anyone other than those authorised noted above.

In addition to the above, statistics on site traffic and so on are automatically generated in Siteground Hosting Tools, Google Analytics, YouTube. This data is of a more general nature and does not typically identify individuals.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

The Mailchimp mailing list generated from subscribers to the newsletter, booking an event or those choosing to have their contact details added at an event automatically provides information on various things such as who has opened emails, what links they have clicked and how many times. It also has a facility to be able to resend the email to those who have not opened an email.
