Reclaiming your Spiritual Power
Does that sound like something wonderful to do? Or does it sound a bit daunting?
Wherever it is for you on the spectrum its really central to what we are here for.
What does it mean exactly, to reclaim your spiritual power?
It really comes down to truly expressing your ‘Self’, the love that you are.
Most of us have been brought up on a diet of seeking to meet others standards in life or being told consistently that’s what we must do.
It starts from early childhood. People set standards for us. They tell us what is right, wrong, what performance is acceptable or not, what is expected in exams what we should do in specific social situations and so on – the list is endless.
Most of us comply or at least believe the message at some level. I certainly have done a lot of that.
The thing is that if it does not accord with our own rhyme or reason but we end up ‘complying’ to ‘fit in’ it leads to a lesser expression of who we really are.
In other words, giving away your spiritual power.
It was the Buddha who said:
“Believe nothing no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”
A profound statement. Of course it applies just as equally to this blog.
For me, it is pointing me to look within for what resonates. What is it that my heart and soul are saying to me in life? For it is there that one’s spiritual power truly lies. Not in what someone else says or believes.
What does it say to you?
If it is saying something similar. You may be wondering where to begin to look. How to access this inner wisdom that you hold. You may even be wondering or doubting if you do hold it.
Whatever it is for you. A tool that I find immensely helpful is Spheres Of Light.
It’s so helpful because it only requires my ‘Intention’ to connect with its gift. Only ‘Intention’.
Nothing else.
Nothing to get in the way. No process. Just ‘Intention.’
I find by doing this regularly I get insights about what is showing up or could be showing up in my life right now.
I find that actually I become constantly engaged in this dialogue with my ‘Self.’My big ‘Self.’
That is when I choose to pay it attention!
So simple, so beautiful, so profound. A great gift.
